What Are Side Effects Associated with Using Aspirin and oxycodone?
Common side effects of Aspirin and oxycodone include:
- stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation;
- headache, dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness;
- rash; or
- fever.
Serious side effects of Aspirin and oxycodone include:
- hives,
- difficult breathing,
- swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- weak or shallow breathing, breathing that stops during sleep;
- severe constipation;
- confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior, feeling like you might pass out;
- signs of stomach bleeding--bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; or
- low cortisol levels--nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, feeling weak or tired.
- serotonin syndrome, such as agitation, hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle stiffness, twitching, loss of coordination, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Rare side effects of Aspirin and oxycodone include:

Seek medical care or call 911 at once if you have the following serious side effects:
- Severe headache, confusion, slurred speech, arm or leg weakness, trouble walking, loss of coordination, feeling unsteady, very stiff muscles, high fever, profuse sweating, or tremors.
- Severe eye symptoms such as sudden vision loss, blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain or swelling, or seeing halos around lights.
- Severe heart symptoms include fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeats; fluttering in the chest; shortness of breath; sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, or passing out.

What Are Dosages of Aspirin and oxycodone?
Adult and pediatric dosage
Tablet: Schedule II
- 4.8355 mg/325 mg
Relief of Moderate to Moderately Severe Pain
Adult dosage
- Usual: 1 tablet orally every 6 hours or as needed
- Maximum: 12 tablets (4 grams aspirin) per 24 hours

What Are Warnings and Precautions for Aspirin and oxycodone?
Contraindications
- Allergic to aspirin or oxycodone
- Severe asthma or breathing problems;
- Hemophilia (a bleeding disorder); or
- A stomach or bowel obstruction (including paralytic ileus)
- Children.

- Death.

Cautions
- Taking opioid medicine during pregnancy may cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms in the newborn.
- Fatal side effects may occur if you use also use alcohol or other drugs that cause drowsiness or slow breathing.
- Do not stop using aspirin and oxycodone suddenly after long-term use, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Ask your doctor how to safely stop using this medicine.
- Do not keep leftover opioid medication. Just one dose can cause death in someone using this medicine accidentally or improperly. Ask your pharmacist where to locate a drug take-back disposal program. If there is no take-back program, flush the unused medicine down the toilet.
- Do not drink alcohol. Dangerous side effects or death could occur.
- Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how this medicine will affect you. Dizziness or drowsiness can cause falls, accidents, or severe injuries.
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using other medicines for pain, fever, swelling, or cold/flu symptoms. They may contain ingredients similar to aspirin (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, or naproxen).
Pregnancy and Lactation
- If you use this medicine during pregnancy, your baby could be born with life-threatening withdrawal symptoms and may need medical treatment for several weeks. You should not use aspirin and oxycodone after 30 weeks of pregnancy.
Lactation
- Ask a doctor if it is safe to breastfeed. Tell your doctor if you notice severe drowsiness or slow breathing in the nursing baby.
