Ann Edmundson, MD

Ann Edmundson completed her medical degree at the University of Cambridge. She also has a PhD in zoology from Cambridge. Her doctoral work was supported by a National Science Foundation Fellowship and a Fulbright Scholarship. After completing a surgical internship in England, she finished her residency in internal medicine at Duke University.
Edmundson joined the faculty of the Medical University of South Carolina after completing a fellowship at that institution. She then joined the faculty of the endocrinology division at Emory University. Later she went into private practice in Atlanta. More recently she has worked for WellPoint as a consultant in internal medicine and endocrinology.
Edmundson is board-certified in both internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism. She is also affiliated with numerous organizations including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American Diabetes Association for Health Professionals.
