Catherine Burt Driver, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Driver is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. She currently is in active practice in the field of rheumatology in Mission Viejo, Calif., where she is a partner in Mission Internal Medical Group.
Dr. Driver treats patients with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, including gout, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dr. Driver received a BA in chemistry from Dartmouth College. She graduated cum laude from medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa. While in medical school, she was awarded the Beach Memorial Scholarship and the Measey Scholarship for academic excellence and community service. She was a member of the Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society. She then completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and subsequently a fellowship in rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Driver has been involved in clinical research on systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and biologic medications. She has authored several papers on lupus and the use of biologic medications.
Dr. Driver currently resides in Orange County, Calif., with her husband and daughter.
