Charlotte Grayson Mathis, MD
Charlotte Grayson Mathis, MD, is an Atlanta area internist. Once a senior medical editor with WebMD, currently, Dr. Mathis is in private practice but still provides medical review of content and editorial services to WebMD.
Dr. Mathis received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, where she was a National Achievement Scholarship winner. She was accepted into Boston University School of Medicine in their Early Medical School Selection Program during her sophomore year, and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
After completing medical school, Dr. Mathis completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
For seven years, Dr. Mathis oversaw the development of consumer health content for WebMD, and managed the creation of reference content, special projects, and consumer health guides that appear on the WebMD Health Network.
Dr. Mathis frequently spoke to the media about health issues on behalf of WebMD. Interviews with her have appeared on Fox News and CNN, and she has worked as a health contributor to TIME, Real Simple, Women's Health, and WebMD magazines.
