Edward Block, MD
Dr. Block graduated Cum Laude from Washington University in Saint Louis, and completed his medical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He had his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and UCLA. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at University of California, Irvine. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In recognition of his contributions to medical education, he was awarded the USC Family Practice attending physician of the year award and the American Academy of Family Physicians recognition award for teaching excellence. He has been active in clinical trials related to peptic ulcer disease. He currently serves as chief of Gastroenterology at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. He is a member of Mission Internal Medicine Group, a multispecialty group serving the medical needs of south Orange County, California.
