EMMANUEL SALTIEL, PHARMD, FASHP, FCCP

Dr. Saltiel received his PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1980, following undergraduate work at UCLA. At UCSF, he was the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award and the Bowl of Hygeia Award. He completed a residency in clinical pharmacy practice at the University of Illinois, in Chicago. He has served at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 25 years in a variety of capacities, including clinical coordinator, drug information specialist, and managed care pharmacy specialist. He is currently a clinical pharmacist. Additionally, he is a volunteer faculty member for UCSF and USC Schools of Pharmacy. He received an honorary fellowship of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists in 1995, of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists in 1999, and of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy in 2005.

Dr. Saltiel has over 25 publications in pier-reviewed journals and has made over 200 presentations on a local and national level on a variety of clinical topics to professionals and lay persons. Dr. Saltiel has been active with the state affiliate of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP), three times serving on the Continuing Education Committee for the annual state meeting and once serving as chairperson of the Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for the local affiliate. In 1997, 1998, and 2000, Dr. Saltiel served as a facilitator for the ASHP's advanced training program for outcomes research entitled "Competitive Edge."
