Dr. Erica Oberg, ND, MPH, received a BA in anthropology from the University of Colorado, her doctorate of naturopathic medicine (ND) from Bastyr University, and a masters of public health (MPH) in health services research from the University of Washington. She completed her residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in ambulatory primary care and fellowship training at the Health Promotion Research Center at the University of Washington.
Dr. Oberg is currently in private practice as a naturopathic doctor with Guarneri Integrative Health at Pacific Pearl La Jolla and provides research consultation in the fields of nutrition, health promotion, and natural products. Her clinical expertise is in women's health, chronic disease, and prevention. She has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and has contributed to numerous medical textbooks internationally.
Dr. Oberg was on faculty at Bastyr University for nearly 10 years, including serving as Clinic Director. She has taught at both naturopathic and conventional medical schools in the divisions of naturopathic medicine, nutrition, and public health. She has presented research and CME throughout the country and internationally. Her research has been supported by the NIH, Washington State Department of Health, and others. She lives in La Jolla, CA, where she enjoys healthy cooking and is learning to surf.
