Gregory C. Caputy, MD, PhD
Dr. Gregory C. Caputy of AESTHETICA Plastic and Laser Surgery Center is an internationally recognized Cosmetic and Laser Surgeon. He is known for his advanced expertise with facial plastic surgery, especially in the area of facial laser surgery for non-Caucasian patients. He utilizes the most advanced techniques for liposuction, breast enhancement, and cosmetic surgery of all types.
Dr. Caputy's unique educational background includes a BSc degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in microbiology with emphasis on electron microscopy as a baseline of knowledge in electromagnetic radiation. He competed his MD degree at the University of Calgary and performed residencies at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota as well as plastic surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.
Dr. Caputy completed 3 years of postgraduate training in cosmetic surgery after board qualifications. He has advanced training and expertise in cosmetic surgical techniques that are unique to the Asian patient and the patient desiring minimally invasive procedures.
He has written numerous papers that have been presented at many national and international meetings and are published in the most reputable journals in the field of plastic surgery. He is a distinguished teacher and has taught many physicians and surgeon in India, Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Australia and the mainland USA about cosmetic and laser surgery.
He is a Fellow and Vice President of the International College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, and associate Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Examiners and is board certified in Laser Cosmetic Surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in Texas, California, and Hawaii. He is a member of the Hawaii Plastic Surgery Society, American Medical Association, Honolulu Medical Society, May Clinic Alumni Association, Dalhousie University Alumni Association, and an active member of the Wound Healing Society and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
