Harley I. Kornblum, MD, PhD
Dr. Kornblum received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis after being elected Phi Beta Kappa. He received both his Medical Degree and his Ph.D from the University of California, Irvine. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and a Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at the UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Kornblum is now an Associate Professor of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology and Pediatrics at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is a Staff Pediatric Neurologist at the UCLA- Mattel Children's Hospital and runs an active research laboratory investigating brain development and repair. He is the author of many scientific articles as well as several clinical papers. Dr. Kornblum regularly lectures medical students, graduate students, residents and other clinical trainees, as well as scientific and clinical colleagues. He teaches review courses to prepare Neurologists for the Board examinations. He regularly provides expert review of scholarly articles for Journals and also reviews grant applications for federal agencies.
Dr. Kornblum's clinical practice focuses on children with difficult to diagnose or treat neurological problems, often providing second and third opinions for other Pediatric Neurologists.
