Dr. Adamson received his undergraduate degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He attended medical school at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1979 with honors. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Adamson has also received medical and surgical training at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, at UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital in Los Angeles, and at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey. Dr. Adamson has been practicing general orthopedics since 1984. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and Member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Adamson is also active in medical staff leadership and has served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Chief of Medical Staff at Mission Hospital, in Orange County, California.
