Dr. Williams graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whittier College. She received her Master of Science degree in Special Education/ Educational Psychology from California State University at Long Beach. She received her doctorate degree in Educational Psychology from United States International University in San Diego.
Dr. Williams has been working with Orange Unified School District for twenty years; eleven years as a Special Education teacher and ten years as a school psychologist. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member for two local universities, teaching graduate level Educational Psychology and supervising masters' degree candidates. She is also in private practice, specializing in the assessment of adults and adolescents with Attention Deficit Disorder and learning disabilities.
Dr. Williams authored two textbooks in the area of Special Education. She developed a curriculum of practical living skills for pregnant teenagers and teenage parents. She has developed numerous workshops and seminars in the areas of assessment of learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder, the treatment and implementation of remedial techniques for learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, and crisis intervention in a school setting. Recent publications include a video on parenting preschoolers with special needs.
