Neha Pathak, MD, is a medical editor on the medical team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of health information on WebMD.
Before joining WebMD, Pathak worked as a primary care physician at the Department of Veterans Affairs and was an assistant professor of medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. She completed the VA Quality Scholar Fellowship Program, where she focused on quality improvement and implementation of science training. At the Atlanta VA, she also was the site lead for a national VA pilot program aimed at improving care for veterans at high risk for hospitalization or emergency care. Her work centered on managing an interdisciplinary health care team that coordinated care between home, hospital, and office settings for these high-risk patients.
Pathak is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. She graduated with a BA in psychology/biology from Harvard University. She received her MD with honors in community service from Cornell University, Weill Cornell Medical College. Pathak went on to complete her primary care, internal medicine residency at New York Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College.
She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
