Ralph Hiroichi Maeda Jr., MD

Dr. Maeda received his bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Southern California, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from medical school at University of Southern California, and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed four years of specialty training in general surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He served as chief resident of general surgery during his last year there. Dr. Maeda is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His practice includes abdominal and cancer surgery, laparoscopic surgery, breast surgery, and trauma care. Dr. Maeda has served as member of the Board of Directors of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. He has also served as chief of the intensive care unit at Mission Hospital, and director of the Mission Viejo Surgicenter.
