Citric Acid/Citronellyl Acetate/Isopropanol/Methyl Salicylate

Citric acid/citronellyl acetate/isopropanol/methyl salicylate is an over-the-counter (OTC) product used to treat pediculosis (lice).

Citric acid/citronellyl acetate/isopropanol/methyl salicylate is available under the following different brand names: Lycelle Head Lice Removal Kit.
 

Dosage Forms and Strengths

• Precombing topical gel – Follow package instructions

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Pediculosis (Lice)

• Apply to dry hair a sufficient amount to wet scalp and hair, leave on 10 min, rinse, use a nit comb to remove lice and nits, and shampoo as usual

Side effects of citric acid/citronellyl acetate/isopropanol/methyl salicylate include:

• Irritation to skin, scalp and eyes
• Contact allergic sensitization

This medication contains citric acid/citronellyl acetate/isopropanol/methyl salicylate. Do not take Lycelle Head Lice Removal Kit if you are allergic to citric acid/citronellyl acetate/isopropanol/methyl salicylate or any ingredients contained in this drug.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
