I have taen this drug since 1990 and it had worked wonders. Up until this year my copay was very affordable, Maybe six months ago it was $100 for three months at one a day, big jump. Now for nearly the same number of capsules I picked up today is $279. Wwithout insurance the cost is $1500.00 a month once in the donut hole which I will hit net year. Next year I have to pay 30% of cost of the drug. To the other reviewers. I feel your pain it will get worse. Somebody please mfg a generic.

I've been on this medication for 29 years. It has kept my Ulcerative Colitis in remission. I have just learned today (6/22/2015) that this drug has been discontinued by the manufacture. Hopefully some less expensive RX will replace it?

I was on the original clinical studies of this drug in 1983. It was the only drug that I could tolerate and helped me with some very difficult times. I still take it today because every time I attempt to either reduce or stop it , I start getting sick again. Today there are more sophisticated meds but I still find Dipentum the best, not too strong, few side effects and it works. No one, including many doctors don't believe that I was ever so sick with this disease. I do wish though that it were cheaper.

This medicine has worked well for me for over ten years. However, the price has nearly tripled (to $581/month) since last year. Has anyone else experienced a similar price increase? (Note: I have a high deductible health plan)

I've taken Dipentum 15+ years and it has been the most effective med I have encountered for UC. There have been no side effects, as with prior meds for me. I've had UC since 1986 and suffered with other meds-I found this med the BEST!
