People who are allergic to any of the following should not use butoconazole.ButoconazoleFemstat 3Gynazole-1Any of the ingredients in the specific product dispensedYour pharmacist can tell you all of the ingredients in the specific butoconazole products they stock.What should I know about butoconazole before using it?Do not use butoconazole unless it has been prescribed to you by a healthcare provider. Use it as prescribed. Read the instructions before using. The medicine is inside the applicator and ready to use. The applicator should be used with the tip in place. Do not remove the tip, and do not use the applicator if there is no tip. Throw away the applicator after using this medicine.Do not share butoconazole with other people, even if they have the same condition as you. It may harm them.Keep butoconazole out of the reach of children.This medicine contains mineral oil, which may weaken certain latex and rubber products like condoms or diaphragms. This could make you more likely to become pregnant or contract a sexually transmitted disease. To reduce these risks, avoid using these products within 72 hours (three days) after using butoconazole.If you get yeast infections frequently, especially if they are hard to treat, see your healthcare provider. You may need additional testing for other medical conditions such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Do not use tampons or douches until your infection is gone.
