I had a lower disc removed in 1999 and every once in a while I move wrong, sneeze, take a step off a curb or something and I immediately feel the pain in my lower back. I have learned to take one pill immediately and it eases the pain and helps me move more while preparing for a week or so of constant pain. Still better than the sciatica I suffered with before surgery.

I was having hard spasms in my back and chest and my doctor proscribed cyclobenzprine. I couldn't tell I had taken anything. But I found an old bottle of carisoprodol/aspirin and got relief right away. I read that it is addictive, and I guess that may be why it was not prescribed, but I never need more than a few days relief and rest.

Be careful. This is highly addictive and while it works well, after a year or so I found myself in detox.
