Feeling bad since my last refill of Levoxyl. I’m getting worse and worse, and did not put it together with the Levoxyl refill today. I refilled in February and am wondering if anyone else has been having trouble recently. I am going to report it to the FDA. I have been through this once before while I was taking levothyroxine and that company ended up recalling the medication that I had been taking. I am disgusted with what they let drug companies get away with. The only thyroid medications that are consistent are too expensive for many people to afford. They can ruin your life.

I was on Levoxyl for years and had a severe reaction to it that the doctor never picked up on. it was Awful being itchy all the time for no reason and nothing would cure the itch that was only located on my thighs down to my toes. I would scratch until I would have bad black and blues bigger than the size of 2 Half Dollars. I have a large family, and once I discovered it, it just so happens that my family members were also severely allergic also. This could be one of the reasons the drug was changed, but it is still out there and the name is changed but the active part is still the same, please read up on some other meds and ask your doc,... they should know. Otherwise, look it up like you did this. Knowledge is power! Good Luck. Oh and I've been on Armour which is a Natural Thyriod pill and its worked out much better for me since I was allergic to all the active parts of the others. All together 14 years now.

Levoxyl was and is the only medicine my body can tolerate and Pfizer once again took it off the shelf!! It's been 9months without Levoxyl for me. My life as many others struggling without has become full of hopelessness, darkness, total lack of quality. Pfizer has blood on their hands for the ones that couldn't keep going. Unbelievable this can and has happened. Continuing for more than a yr. without much concern about our lives. FDA has also allowed this. The recall should have been rectified/corrected within a month. Pfizer has certainly shown lack of concern and any sense urgency!!!!

I have no thyroid & my medication has been my life for 27 years. Generics are inadequate! I was told manufacture of this drug was discontinued & was substituted by Levothyroxin. Really? I mean really? Many of us will actually die without the proper medication! This is outrageous! Obamacare is at work, here! Be ready to fight for your lives!

Thyroid problem for 21 yrs. Levoxyl worked well. I was nervous about switching when Levoxyl was pulled from the market. Now taking Synthroid for one week, seems to be ok so far. Can't take Generic because it causes lot of complications and my system doesn't absorb it.

I had taken this for over 15 years..had excellent results..it was pulled from the market because of unstable shelf life..now taking Generic Levothyroxine and having horrible results..I have long hair way past my waist..it has always grown fast and I have always had compliments on it..in the 2 months that I have been on this generic, I am loosing tons of hair in my brush and have resorted to taking suppliments to counteract it..I am now having headaches, dry skin and fatigue..I didn't experience any of this on Levoxyl...very disappointed that it is not available anymore...

have been told by Medco/Express Scripts it will not be available until 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2014. they were told some of the medication had an odd odor and it was pulled from teh market - no one has it anymore and most docs are switching to Unithroid or Synthoid for those not allergic.

I cannot take generic. Levoxyl has been recalled and I am concerned about what I will do? Anybody know any place that may still have? (Colorado area).

When 1st starting the drug it was very hard to adjust to. I had major body & extremity pains, cotton mouth, thrash of the tongue, blurred vision, spinal pains, dry skin, rashes/dry patches, & not to mention the pains in my brain (not headaches or migrains) that never went away. After 4months or so most of the symptoms went away except the brain pains

Unable to find Levoxyl at any paharmacy! What is everyone doing now that this drug has been removed from the market? Generic is very different, had many negative side effects. Express Scripts says will be back 2014, doesn't help the patient that has been on this drug for years!!
