This worked so well the first 2 weeks but it seems it isn't workign as well as it did in the beginning. Mood was much better the first 2 weeks. I wasn't having hot flashes before so that wasn't an issue.

Over the past 4 months (it's now 11/11) Manufacturers changed something in the formulation of Prefest. It caused the following symptoms: pain in legs, anxiety, insomnia, water retention, bleeding - to name a few. Prior to the change of the formulation I had been on prefest for 5 years and never had any problem.

Used Prefest for 3 months and decided to discontinue use because of "cons"- Cons- experienced spotting and breast tenderness, some leg cramping (but only for a week). Symptoms probably caused by too much estrogen in "one size fits all" pill. Pros- no more hot flashes, sleeping better, mood improved greatly. Would have liked to continue using Prefest because of the "pros", but the "cons" scared me a little. Also, using a transdermal method is reported to be a bit safer. Will look to try something else in a lower dose.
