What is Clarinex-D used for?Clarinex-D (desloratadine/pseudoephedrine) is commonly taken to relieve nasal congestion, sneezing, and other allergy symptoms.Clarinex-D may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.How does Clarinex-D work (mechanism of action)?Clarinex-D contains two ingredients, desloratadine and pseudoephedrine. Desloratadine is an antihistamine. It helps to reduce allergy symptoms by blocking the effect of a substance in your body called histamine. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant. Does Clarinex-D interact with foods or drinks?There are no known interactions between Clarinex-D and foods or drinks.It is unknown if drinking alcohol will affect Clarinex-D. What should I do if I accidentally use too much Clarinex-D?If you or someone else has taken too much Clarinex-D, get medical help right away, call 911, or contact a Poison Control center at 800-222-1222.What should I do if I miss a dose of Clarinex-D?If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and only take the next dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
