I have taken Diflucan in the past after antibiotics, and never had a problem before. But it seems like since having Covid, I have a lot more adverse reactions to medication. I finished Keflex last week for a UTI with no problems. Then a few days later, could feel the beginnings of a yeast infection, so I took the diflucan. I feel horrible, like I’ve been run over by a truck. Migraine headache, no appetite, nausea, bad stomach pain, diarrhea, and every muscle aches. I can’t get comfortable enough to sleep. Last time I take this.
I had an ear infection and took Amoxicillin, which lead to yeast infection. Dr prescribed Diflucan. I have been through hell for a week now with parasthesia, palpitations, hyperglycemia, and other symptoms. I am writing this as a warning to be cautious. The infection cleared up, but these side effects have been horrible. I will never take this again, will stick with creams!
Terrible side effects after one pill. Nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, fatigue, vomiting, loss of appetite. Third day after stopping the pill and finally feeling a little better. Will never take this medication again.
I took Diflucan 2 years ago and have documented that within an hour of taking it, I got a stye on my left eyelid. Fast forward 2 years and I took Diflucan again and within 30 minutes, I got an itchy stye on my left eyelid again. So weird!
I have been prescribed this fluconazole in the past with no issues, and quick relief. But this time of use is totally miserable. Icannot sleep without severe diareah in the middle of the night, all night. I am planning on yesterday's dose (2nddose of 5 days 100 MG tablet.) Bei g my last dose. 2to 3 showers a night with little or no sleep is horid.
I was prescribed this med along with Amoxicillin for Strep. About 4 days into the antibiotics I began to get yeast infection symptoms. I took my first diflucan and had relief within a few hours. After a day or two, I noticed a bloated feeling and bad cramps when I stood like I had done 100 crunches. After another day or 2 I took my second dose and I have thee worse upset stomach and gas. My cooter feels fine, but my stomach is miserable!
I have been suffering for 15 my nth after two major surgeries with use of marrow and donor bone the. Infection whim has I was on 3000 mg tretracycline for six weeks. When I got off the antibiotics I started itching crawling zapping sensation. All.Over.Biopsie were so sister with Grovers disease.. no sure just a bunch of treatments and prednisone that doesn’t work. Furring this I gained about 30 lbs. about a more nth ago I thought I had a yeast infection and took one. The next day the really awful itch stopped. I lost all of the weight in about a week! It was very weird.i was like a druggie calling all my docs trying to get Fluconazole. I am now on 100 mg a day for six weeks and I. Ever want to get off of it. I hope this helps someone it is not a dangerous drug and It’s the only thing that has helped me
Took diflucan for a week due to oral thrush. Worse case of heartburn I've ever experienced. Sent me to emergency. Ended up with gastritis, insomnia, and depression. Will never take this medication again.
I developed so many tiny sores inside my mouth, inside my cheeks, on the roof of my mouth and on my tongue. I was in pure hell for a week. I thought it was the flu and then a sinus infection before we figured it out. I currently take Adipex for weight loss and had started occasionally vaping. Well I guess my body didn't like that and then I was diagnosed with Oral Thrush. I requested liquid Diflucan because I could not eat or drink. I was told to take it for 14 days. I'm on day 11 today. I have a slight constant headache, am more dizzy when I first stand up, am constipated and it tastes horrible. However, the Thrush was hell so I welcome a little discomfort that comes along with this medication.
I believe I am allergic to diflucan I’ve taking it twice and both times this has happened .. causes one of my hands to get a red rash
I have not experienced any of the horrible side effects like some other people on here. However, I don't think the medication is working or killing the candida.
I was so sick to my stomach with 1 pill also made me have muscle spasms in my .leg during the night.not taking it.
I have Dark marks on my face that been here for months Now I am very self conscious I won’t to know will they go away I’ll never use this medication again never I also had blisters on my lips
I used Diflucan successfully multiple times over several years. Then,when I was in my young 30s,I used a dose a friend had that had expired, and got large maroon skin hives(rash) on my face and neck. I didn't attribute the spots to the diflucan until abut the 3rd time I got rash, which was worse each time. The 2nd time I'd used unexpired generic fluconozole, the 3rd time unexpired Diflucan. I don't know if the reaction had anything to do with that one dose being expired, or if my body's tolerance just changed, but I can't use it anymore. So don't take a chance on an expired dose!
Iâ??ve had with yeast infection since 18 years old the past 3years my yeast infection is gone but now I get thrush with painful sores so bad I canâ??t even drink water and loose weight I have been taking 200 mg 2 times a day as I was in the hospital for 7 days is it safe to take 200 mg Twice a day when you out was the risk as I get pain full sores and painful white thrus all on my tough and down my throat does anyone have experience this and what to do as I get this once a month around my period and sometimes stays 3-4 weeks at a time Please Help
OTC treatments have never worked for me. I am extremely susceptible to vaginal yeast infections. Anytime I take an antibiotic I�m sure to get one. Plus I am diabetic and high blood sugars also cause them for me. And when I get one it�s 100% awful and really bad. 1 pill and I�m cleared up in a few days. The day after taking it I usually already feel the difference. I usually take a second one a week after the first one is taken for the just in case factor. I would recommend this medication to anyone. Women who are allergic to it, I feel so sorry for. This medication works miracles for me.
I had a bacterial infection so the doctor prescribed me Metronadizole. It gave me a terrible yeast infection , the kind that is real dry & irritating. The doctor called in Diflucan & I took it about 3 days ago. It just start clearing up today. My discharge isn’t white anymore it’s becomibg more clear. I haven’t had discomfort all day today. The medication is working but i’m going to wait a couple more days a couple more days before having any sex with my boyfriend. Overall this medication really works. I’m so relieved.
I was put on Augmentin (antibiotics) and got a yeast infection, so the dr prescribed this. It has made me miserable. I have had the worse diarrhea for the past two days. Last night I had major chills and couldnâ??t get warm. I still have a bit of a yeast infection- Iâ??m hoping it clears up soon.
This is the only medication that has help with my yeast infections. Those over the counter ones actually cause irritation and make it worse. I have no side effects from this pill
I usually use the box stuff over the counter because I hardly get yeast infections, but I felt one creeping up and I had this pill the gynecologist prescribed to me to take if I ever should get one. I took the pill. I took one one week ago, and another 7 days after. One day two I felt a bit malaise and fatigue, on day three I felt slight nausea, and some heart palpitations that were very irritating to me. I could feel the medication working as there is no itch anymore, but it drove my anxiety through the roof. I am on day four of this post pill and I can still feel it working. Cant wait till day 6 because it was a rather strong pill. I did not like the palpitations I got from this.
