Pramoxine topical/menthol topical/dimethicone topical is an over-the-counter (OTC) product used to temporarily relieve itching associated with minor burns, minor skin irritation, sunburn, eczema, or psoriasis; also, may be used for rashes due to poison ivy, oak, or sumac.

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Itching

• Temporarily relieves itching associated with minor burns, minor skin irritation, sunburn, eczema, or psoriasis; also, may be used for rashes due to poison ivy, oak, or sumac
• Adults and children 2 years and older: Apply topically to affected area up to 3-4 times daily
• Children under 2 years: Safety and efficacy not established

• Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Cautions

• For external use only
• Keep out of eyes
• Do not use on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns
• Discontinue if symptoms do not improve within 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days
• Discontinue if tenderness, irritation, swelling, or pain persists or increases

Pregnancy and Lactation

• Pramoxine topical/menthol topical/dimethicone topical is generally acceptable for use during pregnancy. Controlled studies in pregnant women show no evidence of fetal risk.
• It is unknown if pramoxine topical/menthol topical/dimethicone topical is distributed in human breast milk.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding patients should seek the advice of a health professional before using over-the-counter (OTC) drugs.
