Hydrocortisone Neomycin Polymyxin Topical

Hydrocortisone/neomycin/polymyxin topical is used to treat steroid-responsive dermatoses with infection.

Side effects of hydrocortisone/neomycin/polymyxin topical include:

• Skin sensitization
• Burning
• Itching
• Irritation
• Dryness
• Folliculitis
• Abnormal hair growth on the body
• Acne
• Skin lightening
• Rash around the mouth
• Allergic contact dermatitis
• Skin breakdown due to moisture
• Secondary infection
• Skin atrophy
• Stretch marks
• "Sweat rash"

Dosages of Hydrocortisone/Neomycin/Polymyxin Topical:

Topical Cream

• (0.5%/3.5mg/10,000 Units)/1 gram

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Steroid Responsive Dermatoses with Infection

• Apply a thin layer of cream topically to the affected area(s) two to four times daily for up to 7 days
• Use sparingly

This medication contains hydrocortisone/neomycin/polymyxin topical. Do not use Cortisporin Cream if you are allergic to hydrocortisone/neomycin/polymyxin topical or any ingredients contained in this drug.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of an overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
