Seek medical care or call 911 at once if you have the following serious side effects:

  • Severe headache, confusion, slurred speech, arm or leg weakness, trouble walking, loss of coordination, feeling unsteady, very stiff muscles, high fever, profuse sweating, or tremors;
  • Serious eye symptoms such as sudden vision loss, blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain or swelling, or seeing halos around lights;
  • Serious heart symptoms such as fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeats; fluttering in the chest; shortness of breath; sudden dizziness, lightheartedness, or passing out.

What Are Dosages of Hypochlorous Acid Topical?

Adult and pediatric dosage

  • Topical spray (Alevicyn Antimicrobial Dermal Spray)
    • Contains sodium chloride (NaCl), sodium sulfate (Na2SO4), monobasic sodium phosphate (NaH2PO4), hypochlorous acid (HClO 90mg/L), and water
  • Topical gel (Alevicyn Antipruritic Gel)
    • Contains magnesium fluorosilicate, sodium phosphate, sodium chloride (NaCl), hypochlorous acid (HClO), and water
  • Topical spray gel (Alevicyn Antipruritic SG)
    • Contains sodium lithium magnesium fluorosilicate, dimethicone, sodium phosphate (Na3PO4), sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), sodium chloride (NaCl), sodium sulfate (Na2SO4), hypochlorous acid (HClO), sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), and water

Cleansing and Debridement

Adult and pediatric dosage

  • Spray to the affected topical area twice daily to irrigate and debride wounds, and periwound tissue

Pruritus

Adult and pediatric dosage

  • Alevicyn Antipruritic SG
    • Apply to affected skin areas every day or twice daily, or as needed, and massage gently into the skin
  • Alevicyn Antipruritic Gel
    • Apply to affected skin areas every day or twice daily and massage gently into the skin; cover the area with a bandage if necessary
