4 weeks of Radiotherapy and prewarned of this problem, I will say this ! If you can avoid the dilutable do so , I purchased 3 days ago and found I’m losing my voice , so I’ve gone back to the standard swallow type and it’s so darn infuriating trying to work out the secret !

Do you people find great pleasure in putting your product in such difficult blister packs? The last thing someone with this condition wants to deal with is being frustrated with stupid packaging when they are crapping their guts out!!!

imodium works well! …probably too well. i took it almost every day for a few weeks mostly due to some personal paranoia following a bout of diarrhea from eating something that didn’t agree with me. it made me dangerously constipated. the x-ray of my abdomen shocked the doctors and radiologists looking at it because they have never seen someone so backed up with poop before. some of them are worried i may be at risk for a serious complication (rupture) because of how constipated i am. on top of the constipation, this medication also causes some crazy bloating and distention. not only do i look pregnant, i also feel an occasional ache or stabbing pain. it’s incredibly hard to pass gas or stool. take this medication if you have diarrhea, but take it as little as possible. don’t take it any more than you have to. you will regret it. it works very well to stop diarrhea and will in fact cause you to have the polar opposite problem. also… minus another star for being impossible to open. i had to use scissors to open the little blister packs every single time when you’re supposed to be able to peel them to open them.

I have been giving to my 96 year old mother who has chronic diarrhea. Sometimes it may help but most of the time it does not seem to help. I HATE the packaging since I have to dispense to her ahead of time because of forgetfulness and confustion. PLEASE come up with another source of buying for people who take more often hoping it'll do something!!!!

Been using this medicine for over a year. To ease Chemo associated diarrhea to no avail. It’s a bummer. Most of these success stories must be computer generated by the product maker themselves. Shame on you!!!

I am allergic to sulphur. Wasn't aware of any allergy to loperamide. I told my Doctor as such but he prescribed it to me. Took two tabs to ease diarrhea after food poisoning. Had severe allergic reaction stomach cramps, hives to face esp head and eyes as well as to other sorts of scalp and torso. If this helps anyone else it will be worth it. It has added to my discomfort whilst on holiday. Wish I had known before I took it. My eyes are badly swollen and almost closed. I had to seek physician assistance to ease the itching and swelling of eyes.

I am satisfied with the performance of the drug but the packaging is so difficult I won't purchase again. The makers need to realize not every customer is a 25 year old lumberjack with rocks for hands. There is no reason to have a diarrhea pill wrapped up in steel paper that no fingernail will go thru. The tear mark on the plastic is a joke. I'd like to see someone that designed that failure actually bend that plastic and tear that mark.

I suffer from chronic diarrhea, due to abdominal mesh, up to 16 mg x day-- no help-- Became very confused in my thinking and severe headaches, big increase in B/P-- This may be a great med for some, but be aware there are some severe side effects for some people.

Imodium works fine, BUT THE PACKAGING IS AWFUL! It requires scissors to open. When I am on travel this is impossible. Would the company PLEASE make easy to open packaging!

I have taken Imodium half tablet a day for two months now to help IBS-D. It helps to extend my bowel movement to once a day from three or four times a day. It also helps lessen the symptom of cramping of stomachs. Thanks for other user's review to let me find this medicine.

I have been taking it for over 10 years and it’s the most effective medicine that I have taken for chronic diarrhea. I’ve never had any side effects from it.

I have suffered from long term collagenous colitis and taken entocort off and on for years to manage the frequent outbreaks... Immodium became my go-to when I wanted to "wean" myself from entocort. It's convenient, easy to take, and has made my condition manageable at least; greatly improved at best--and doesn't have the side effects of stronger medications.

This medication does what it's supposed to - stop diarrhea. My reason for a two-star overall satisfaction rating is the flavor - it is downright disgusting!

I've always had good luck using this med. However, on one occasion I took too many in 24 hours and ended up with terrible kidney pain for 3 days. I'll be much more careful in the future when using this med. Following directions!
