Oral Lozenge
- 5-5.7mg/lozenge
Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:
Oral Anesthetic
- Used for temporary relief for pharyngitis or throat irritation due to cough
- Adults and children 5 years and older: Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth; may repeat every 2 hours as needed
- Children under 5 years: Safety and efficacy not established

What Are Warnings and Precautions for Menthol Oropharyngeal?
Warnings
- This medication contains menthol oropharyngeal. Do not take Halls Warm-Ups if you are allergic to menthol oropharyngeal or any ingredients contained in this drug.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Cautions
- Consult physician if sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea, or vomiting
- Consult physician if cough persists for more than 1 week or recurs
- Consult physician if the sore throat does not improve in 7 days
Pregnancy and Lactation
- Menthol oropharyngeal may be acceptable for use during pregnancy. Either animal studies show no risk but human studies are not available or animal studies showed minor risks and human studies were done and showed no risk.
- It is unknown whether menthol oropharyngeal is distributed in breast milk.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding patients should seek the advice of a health professional before using over-the-counter (OTC) drugs.
