No side effects. Does what it’s supposed to do. No UTIs.

After taking this medication for 2 days and making sure that I was having no more than the recommended amount. I ended up with the most severe migraine I have ever had in my life, I have had a couple before from other medications but no where near as bad. I have been left unable to do daily activities for the past 48 hours due to the severity of the migrane I had and the side effects that I am still suffering. Although I am slowly recovering I have never had a worse migraine attack and after all of that that the medication didn’t even solve my UTI.

I'd had UTI symptoms but, apparently, no infection for over a year. Within an hour of taking Hiprex I was comfortable and able to function as a healthy person and just get on with my life.

this medicine may cause side effect like harsh on the tummy , nausea, burning, reflux etc if encapsulate them in the enteric coated capsules they don’t release until they hit the small intestine so all them nasty side effected no longer happen. this capsule called Drcaps, which is a special delay released capsule

I have symptoms of UTI but always get negative result with urine tests. Symptoms are lower pelvic/pubic pain into the groin and lower areas and slight stinging. No blood, no cloudiness, no incontinence, just slight urgency. Been taking hiprex for 6 weeks as a prevention but symptoms remain. Consultant says I should carry on but seems little point if it isn't working plus I get nausea and crampy legs. Should I just stop taking it?

Suffered 11 years with recurrent UTIs. Went to different specialists, GP, nothing really worked. I have up on my sexual life because I was getting UTIs after every encounter. I started taking HIPREX for a couple of months now and I haven’t had any episodes of UTIs (sexually active now)! I am over the moon!!!!!!

I have had a recurrent UTI for 18 months. E-coli is the culprit. When taking antibiotics it goes away but as soon as off the antibiotics - back comes the UTI. All confirmed through endless urine tests at the GP who was stumped as to what to do. Breakthrough was when hospital urology suggested going back onto antibiotics for a few weeks but overlap with taking Hiprex/Vitamin C. Then come off the antibiotics and keep going with the Hiprex combo. Since this advice no more UTIs - it is brilliant and highly recommend. My UK GP has now agreed to prescribe it for me - so will be free too. The only thing I don’t know is when to stop with Hiprex. Should I take it forever ? For 6 months ? Or 12 ? Does anybody know the answer for optimum outcome ?

Hiprex really worked for me I have suffered from frequent UTI's for nearly 30 years. I did everything you're told to including taking D Mannose and Cranberry supplements ( which have helped) and drinking 3 litres of water a day. Normally i'd take a 3 day course of antibiotics and the UTI's would go but then this year i had 3 UTI's in 6 weeks. I told the doctor i didn't think i was taking antibiotics for long enough to cure the initial infection so had to take them for about 10 days. She then advised about Hiprex that i'd never heard of and since then I've not had any UTI's. It's been 4 months. I recommend you watch the 3 x You Tube Videos of Dr Cat Anderson talking about Hiprex and they are very helpful. I take 2 x Hiprex a day with a 1000mg of Vitamin C tablet each time with water. This helps create a more acidic environment for the Hiprex to work . Put the Hiprex tablets in emply capules so they dont burn your stomach ( as that can happen ). For the first week i had a slight burning after taking them and then going for a wee but that went after a week. Drink plenty water throughout the day . It really works for me, so i hope this information can help others.

After been on antibiotics for 14years, having 2 bladder repairs and hysterectomy, and bladder prolapsing again, I have been prescribed Hiprex, cannot believe the difference, no antibiotics, for over 8 weeks, unheard of. But the side effects are tiredness, and severe leg cramps. I do not know what to do, has anyone else had these side effects.?

Hipprex does work, but you must take Vitamin C with it. However . . . after being on it for years, I now have Neuropathy, (numb feet and ankles). Did some research and found a link, so I think care should be taken not to use this medication over long periods of time.

I have only been on Hiprex for a week, the last few days I've had a horrible taste in my mouth. Has anyone else had the same experience?

I have a smelly discharge for many years. GP has nothing to say about it, just tells me to use canestan cream. Not helping at all. I now started to take Hiprex morning and night. Started 3 days ago. Got a few rashes over my face and one arm, who are swollen and itchy at times. I will try to the end of the 20 pills and reconsider the pro and cons. Not sure yet but I think the smell is already less! Will drink more water now, it might help as well to get rid of the rash.

After being on this med My urine became so acid that it burned all the hair off and my labia became like paper and even wiping with toilet paper caused it to tear and bleed. I stopped it and after using various creams things have healed up quite well. But I now have urgency and frequency that I never had before taking this.I get up 4 times at lest in the night. I'm wondering if it will go back to normal after I've been off it for a while.

I have had recurring uti's for approximately 10 years. I would get one a day after sex. I did everything i was suppose to do to avoid an infection and i tried so many different herbs. Prescription antiobotics helped, but i couldn't take them long term. Eventually i discovered Hiprex. I take one after sex and two the following day and i have not had one uti in over a year since using Hiprex. They do make me slightly nauseous, but that's the only side effect for me. I highly recommend hiprex to anyone suffereing recurring uti's.
