Ocular Lubricant Ointments

Ocular lubricant ointments are over-the-counter (OTC) products used for ocular (eye) protection and lubrication.

Ocular lubricant ointments are available under the following different brand names: Dry Eyes, LacriLube NP, Advanced Eye Relief Night Time Lubricant Eye Ointment (Preservative Free), Duratears Naturale, Lubrifresh PM, PuraLube, Refresh PM, Tears Renewed, and Stye.

Ophthalmic Ointment

• white petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin, sodium chloride
• 20% mineral oil/80% white petrolatum
• 31.9% mineral oil/57.7% white petrolatum
• 15% mineral oil/83% white petrolatum

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Ocular Protection and Lubrication

• Thin ribbon (approximately 0.25 in. or 0.6 cm) applied to lower lid of the affected eye(s)

• This medication contains ocular lubricant ointments. Do not take Dry Eyes, LacriLube NP, Advanced Eye Relief Night Time Lubricant Eye Ointment (Preservative Free), Duratears Naturale, Lubrifresh PM, PuraLube, Refresh PM, Tears Renewed, or Stye if you are allergic to ocular lubricant ointments or any ingredients contained in this drug.
• Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
