Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:
Temporary Relief of Corneal Edema
- Ophthalmic solution: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 3-4 hours or as directed by a physician
- Ophthalmic ointment: Pull down the lower lid of the affected eye(s); apply a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment to the inside of the eyelid; apply once daily or as directed by a physician
Administration
- Ophthalmic ointment recommended for nighttime use; preservative-free formulation
- The ophthalmic solution recommended for daytime use
- Avoid contamination do not touch the tip of container to any surface; replace cap after use

- This medication contains sodium chloride hypertonic, ophthalmic. Do not take Muro 128 2%, Muro 128 5%, or Muro 128 5% Ointment if you are allergic to sodium chloride hypertonic, ophthalmic, or any ingredients contained in this drug.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
