It made my depression worse. To the point that I could not take care of myself.

Was prescribed 5mg Vortioxetine (Trintellix) to help with my extreme sensitivity to stress. Before, I would get paralyzed by deadlines or social pressure, even small stuff — I’d freeze, avoid, or burn out. Now that I’m on it, that 'stress overload' is gone, which is great, but it also removed the functional stress that used to push me to do things (eustress). I don’t procrastinate to the point of missing things anymore, but I also lost the stress induced drive to studying ahead and be proactiveI. I spend less time spent on social media, but then I don't feel as much need to engage and communicate with people. As a college athlete I don't feel the need to log a workout to get social validation, but it removes my drive and feedback loop to keep me competitive with my peers and dulls my need to want to push myself to my best. In short, it muted stress so well, I lost my pretty much my main default motivator. Not euphoric, but extremely grounded and mundane. Pretty much the only downside beside that is the classic lower sex drive and erectile dysfunction.

I almost killed myself on this medication. Increase in suicidal thoughts is written on the box! Stay away!

I took Trintellix for 4 weeks while weaning off Sertraline. I was nauseous for 4 weeks and vomited twice, had severe indigestion and found it very difficult to just eat. Even switching to taking it at bedtime didn't help. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking it.

This medication caused me to have extreme anxiety, sleeplessness, excessive talking (with inappropriate language), mania, reckless behavior, etc, etc, so much so that I resigned from my job after coworkers complained of my behavior!! I am jobless now and I know for sure that it was the trintellix. I have a diagnosis of Bipolar 1 and I am also on Depakote and Olanzapine. ! wish my doctor had recognized the symptoms before all of this happened to me.

I was on Trintellix 5mg for 3 weeks before starting to wean myself off the medication gradually at week 4. Previously, I was on St. John's Wort for years at 900 mg/day. My symptoms on Trintellix in the third week: Isolation (I no longer accept invitations). Difficult digestion/reflux/stomach hyperacidity. Dark/suicidal thoughts seen as normal without worry. Frequent urination (maybe prostate?). Constant pain in the urethra like a urinary tract infection (maybe unrelated). Very poor sleep (3-4hrs per night). Fatigue due to lack of sleep. Severe anxiety at night. Dizziness. Difficulty concentrating. Feeling like you're on drugs. Fear of driving my car and having an accident. I was supposed to increase Trintellix dose to 10mg at week 5, but that's not going to happen. I'm going back to the St. John's Wort that I've been using for years. It's not perfect, but there are very few side effects!

I am a big fan of Trintellix, or (Vortioxetine) thus far. After getting past some side effects here and there, it became worth it because I feel a bit better than I had before taking Trintellix. I hope it is only up from here and someone can benefit from my experience in this review.

I suffer with BPD, severe depression and anxiety and have for a very long time. I was on Zoloft and Abilify for a while and not only did I get pretty fat but I felt like a zombie. Trintellix and Rexulti as a combo work so well for me. Some days of course I still struggle because thats mental health but I’m not hopeless anymore. These two drugs as a whole saved my life. I take 20mg of Trintellix and 2mg of Rexulti. I haven’t had major side effects on these drugs the way I did on the others and I dropped the weight quickly when I switched. Majorly recommend.

I took trintellix for about 2 weeks and just didn't want to continue because every time I take this medication I feel really irritated and angry, I stop taking it.

After taking escitalopram in the past (with good results), I found myself in a rough spot in life again and my doctor recommended "something milder" this time around - Trintellix. I struggle with severe anxiety and mild depression. After taking Trintellix (10mg) for 5 weeks, all I got was nausea and increased anxiety. Since bettling anxiety is my main goal, I became really agitated as time went by, seeing no improvement in that department. I can't say if this drug helps with depression, but I can say I do not recommend it for GAD. At all. After 5 weeks I was forced to quit and switch to escitalopram yet again. On the plus side - there are no serious side effects besides nausea and occasional headache. Withdrawing from the drug, even at that stage, also wasn't that horrible. If you ever need to drop it like I did, just make sure you have a couple days with nothing important planned as you might feel a bit sick and have trouble sleeping. After a few days withdrawal symptoms dissapeared.

On this drug for five years it totally stopped all my negative and suicidal thoughts. I was able to get up and go to work and not get upset. After 5 years of use COVID happened and I retired so I thought it was a good time to stop taking and see what would happen and 4 years later still no suicidal thoughts and very limited bouts of depression. 100 % positive outcome from and after taking this drug.

I just started taking Trintrelix about a week ago. Day one of taking the medication I noticed a major change in how I felt. I am a night owl and so when I got this medication from the pharmacy I took it in the late afternoon. My depression brain fog was gone, my sadness was gone, I had energy but not the motivation. When I woke up the next morning I had side effects that were not normal to me. I felt scatter brained, dizzy, almost zombie type, unable to normally function. I took the medication again as prescribed only in the morning. I ate breakfast and shortly after became very nauseous, which eventually went away after several hours. But I was able to function again and felt how I had previously the afternoon before. But by the end of the day I was back to no energy, and upon waking up the next day was back to the unable to normally function, again I took my medication in the morning with food and on came the nausea. I have been on this now for a week and the side effects havn't improved, but have only gotten slightly worse, now when i initially take the medication my eyes feel swollen and very light sensitive.

Trintellix caused me to have severe headaches behind my eyes, made my depression worse, caused me to become very angry, and suicidal. Wouldn’t recommend this medication.

I am bipolar and ADHD. Since mood stabilizers and stimulants don’t usually mix, my doctor put me on half of the smallest dose of trintellix. It worked very well for my focus and cognitive function, however it raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels. My heart would race and I’d get dizzy. I would also get brain zaps every day around 4pm, assumingly because it wore off. It also sprung me into a hypomania. We then decided to ween me off. It has been 2 weeks and the brain zaps are still going very strong. I have a feeling this drug permanently damaged something neurologically.

I have been on so many meds for depression with no positive results. Trintellix worked in 10 days. I am back. This has changed me life and eliminated those bad thoughts. It is saving my life.

While this medicine has helped my mood, it has shattered my sleep. I have barley slept in 4 weeks and I’m at a point I have to take a leave from work. I cannot continue use simply because I can’t sleep at all on these meds.

I’ve only been on it 2 weeks but I haven’t slept more than a few hours a night since I started taking it. I don’t know if I can continue

I've been on Trintillex for about 3 months now. My depression was severe to the point where I could not care for myself very well and I had no break whatsoever from the immense depression and anxiety. Now I'm thriving, able to actually talk and think again. I feel good more then 50% of the time which is HUGE. I often am late for my dose but it doesn't effect the effectiveness which is great since I struggle with sleep wake schedule. Only down side really is that even with a heavy meal ut makes me really nauseous for 2-3 hours. But the good by far outweigh that. So instead I take it right before I sleep to combat with the nauseous feelings. Definitely recommend to give it a fair try. It took a month to start to see a small difference.
